Unbelievable! I and my friends always had wondered where you and your sister would be at this time. I have been to your classes more than one year. You and your sister were very kind with both your love of teaching and friendship. I remember receiving those elephant key chains carved from wood when you came back from your vacation in India and even having us for tea at your Arat Kilo flat after we already graduated from high school. I hope you all are doing well. MG

Hello Ms Sultana. I was your student and remember you and your sister (our biology teacher) very well. I never forget how both of you helped us even in your free time in preparation for the school leaving exam ESLCE in 1982. Students of the class I was in are now geographically dispersed throughout the world and I am sure remember you as well in good spirits always. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Lucky you Nesanet! Unfortunately I lost in contact with my friends after moving to the State. I hope to find one or more friends when I visit mother land this year.

Reading this brought me back to the old times. Bole was a wonderful school at that time and I bet it still is. Mentioning teachers like Amde, Ayalew, Tamirat, Gupta and Morale.... all these names gives us a shiver... I'm so happy to be part of Bole S.S. I also met my best friends then and we still keep in touch. All Bole Alumni keep well and stay blessed.

I remember John Grubb as one of the most inspiring teachers! I was at Entoto school from 1966 until 1972. I loved his classes. He made up the most amazing stories, one was called 'The Blue Chrysanthemum', and yes I remember the pipe! I have many happy memories of the school and my childhood in Addis.

Hello Cecile I remember your father Matho Voltolin very well. My father (Martin Schwartz) also taught at Wingate (1961-1967). I clearly remember getting a drive in your father's Citreon - it was a really cool vehicle that could raise its suspension at a push of a button. I too miss Ethiopia and the Wingate compound.
