It was a really nice school. I missed my friends and my child hood memory and my history teacher Kassahun (who passed away, may his soul rest in peace). Because of their assistance I became who I am today. I am a grad of 1985.

  • Armed Forces General Hospital, Jane Winter (guest) wrote 8 years ago:
Actually, this hospital was named in memory of the Princess, who herself trained as a nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. It was not founded by Emperor Haile Selassie, although he was a patron of the hospital. It was founded and funded by the Abyssinian Association in London, which was started by the suffragette Sylvia Pankhurst and campaigned to restore the Emperor to his throne after the Italian invasion of Ethiopia (then known as Abyssinia). It was paid for by donations from many English people and organisations and others, such as Charles de Gaulle of France. I hop this adds a little to knowledge of Ethiopia's history.
