I left Bethlehem Public school in 1987 after completing 8th grade. I was reading on the blog about our teachers who we most often referred as “mean spirited”, due to their ideology and deed of corporal punishment such as teacher Aseffa, teacher GG, teacher Negusi and teacher Anmaw-at the early years of my schooling. Even though, at that time the punishment seems angering and excessive, I feel like the way our teachers instilled a higher standard of moral values, made us who we are today for most of us. Although I am not a parent yet, you have no clue how many times, I though about coming back to Ethiopia and send my children to Bethlehem School to have them the kind of upbringing as we all had. I also would link to congratulate teacher Aseffa for the new position. Long Live Bethlehem!
