The name of the Housing Association, of which I am still a member (as of 27th March 2009), is TEMATQUATE, and NOT TEQUAMITE, as given in the caption here. The term is an abbreviation, in Amharic, for the academic faculties of Addis Ababa University to which most, if not all, of members of the Housing Association belonged. Hence, the term TEMATQUATE means as follows, TE (Tefetro Science, i.e., Natural Sciences), MA (Mahiberawi Science, i.e., Social Sciences), T (Education Administration, i.e., Education Faculty), QUA (Quanquawoch Institute, i.e., Institute of Language Studies or ILS), and TE (Technology Faculty).
