Ich lebte vor zwei jahren neben kebena schule und ich war eine schülerin in der Adventiste schule.

I missed the echoing sound from the marble polishing machines that engulf the area as the sound resonates back and forth in echo. This mainly happen at early morning before the sound is drowned out by cars, people, dogs, donkey and what have you :) Between crackling sound of Loliva and the cricket in the forests...it was music to my ears. What a way to greet a brand new day that is not much different than yesterday. Sort of reassuring. Change is unsettling sometimes.

Who remembers "Dariyo?" The Director I guess.

As you can tell from the name of the hotel, this used to be wooded area with very few homes and sparsely populated (about 20 years ago). It is densely populated area now with condensed homes and there's even a taxi service from to Shegolle. The old Addis is no more :(

This used to be called "AStela meda" We used to play soccer, go in the woods to find "wawate" something like ginseng root I think it was, used for TERS MEFAKIA, but it tastes good. Later on Wereda 8 soccer matches used to be held here. One unfortunate incident I recall was, one student (forgot his name) from wereda 25, kebele 01, whom used to go to Asrehawariat school was hit by lightening when playing soccer in rain and he died. It was very very sad moment. May he rest in peace.

Some of my old friends from this area were Negash Hasen, Mekete Tadesse, Fasil...I forgot the rest of them.

I remember when this school was brand new. Ya'll used to have one yellow school bus (same as the ones you find in USA). It was all Islam students only (I think).

I went school here from 5th - 8th grade. AsreHawariat students constantly used to be ranked top percentiles on the 6th and 8th grade national exams. Only about two students from each grades used to fail and many students score in top 90 percentiles.

From Cuba I won't forget never my first school she mom ethio i love a lot and thanks their ticher Worku, Kiros, Tesfaye, Berane etc...

@kiki it was this school fault cuz we do anything wrong they bit us for nothing we did won and they should deal with it by saying what they want to say not my biting us and my brother is way tuff than anybody but his friend got hurt he almost died it was bruk is fault frist of al and i am so glad that he get out of this schoo and Pal thanks buddy but i am so mad and angry

I stayed there on January 27th, 2010 and found it to be unhealthy, dirty, rat infested, poor lighting, toilets that did not work, moldy showers, and lavatory sinks broken. A real "flea trap dump"!!!

saint mary is the best school one could eve be in.it has the best students and partially the best teachers.i really enjoyed learning in it.anyways i wanna say hi to all ninth graders this year(tg wub meri addis abeer kal and many more)i love u guys
