So do I, between 1986-1989, The names of Younas Amare and Taye Seifu are very familiar, I am in London as well since 1989. I never went back since. Good old days.

I went to this school from grade 6-12 in the 1970s and 1980s. It was indeed a very good school with lots of fun. My childhood friends are still my friends. It may not be by design but it is a school that not only gives education but nurtures young girls to have confidence, sense of citizenship, responsibility, honesty, kindness and faith.... whichever religion you follow... I know some of the Directors and teachers have passed away but some are still there nurturing this new generation of girls with the same dedication. I honor you all! God bless you all!

The name I remember best is "Duke of Harrar" Hospital. My father was the chief architect. He worked on this project from 1963-1967, but I guess that the hospital was not finished until several years later because of financing. I have also heard the hospital being referred to as "Prince Makonnen Memorial Hospital".
